The Flying Winemaker Information

The Flying Winemaker is a privately owned, modern-era négociant, that has built its foundations on long-term relationships with grape growers and winemakers from across the globe. Established in 2010 by Australian winemaker Eddie McDougall, the first release was a limited-edition Pinot Noir produced from grapes grown in the cool-climate region of Bannockburn, Victoria in Australia. The Australian production steadily grew over the years as the winemaking team nurtured new relationships with vineyard owners which naturally allowed for the expansion across both emerging and iconic regions. The Australian portfolio now houses a stable of wines from Margaret River, King Valley and McLaren Vale. With adventurous winemaking aspirations to explore new viticultural landscapes, McDougall has guided The Flying Winemaker oenologists into international regions, including; Barolo, Languedoc-Roussillon, Ningxia, Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay and Stellenbosch.
