The Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex is a 28-acre sports village located between 17th & 23rd Streets along Manhattan’s Hudson River. Opened in 1995, Chelsea Piers transformed four historic, long-neglected piers into a major center for public recreation and waterfront access. Annual visitation is approximately 4.1 million.
Situated on Piers 59 through 62 and in the head house that connects them, the complex features: the Golf Club, the Chelsea Piers Fitness Club, Sky Rink, the Field House, Bowlmor, the Lighthouse, Current and Pier Sixty Event Centers, Sunset Terrace, and the Marina at Chelsea Piers.
The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers, Manhattan’s only multi-tiered, year-round, outdoor golf driving range and teaching academy, allows golfers to hit full shots, practice putting and take lessons from top pros. Chelsea Piers Fitness features one of the country's most challenging rock walls, a 75-foot pool, Hudson River sundecks, dedicated studios for yoga, barre, Pilates and cycle programs, and 150+ group fitness classes a week. Chelsea Piers also features two indoor ice rinks, a 40-lane bowling center operated by Bowlmor, along with gymnastics, soccer, and basketball facilities for youths and adults. Often referred to as Manhattan's ultimate playground, Chelsea Piers attracts sports & recreation enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
Chelsea Piers sponsors include First Republic Bank, Coca-Cola, NFP, Under Armor, and Northwell Health.
Funded primarily by individual donations, the nonprofit Central Park Conservancy cares for the entire Park, tending to the largest and smallest details of its maintenance and restoration.
