The Elixir Group Information

Elixir was born in 2008, when CEO Ben Donnelly was recovering from his own addictions. During recovery Ben realised that when people in similar situations come out of rehab or prison, there is often very little or no practical support. Most end up going to live back in the same place, mixing with the same people and going back to the same life. Ben and his business partner Jennifer Kelly began working on a business plan tailored to offering solutions to these issues. Since Elixir started trading in November 2009 we have successfully employed over 800 vulnerable adults who were either long term unemployed, people recovering from addiction and ex-offenders who found it extremely difficult to find any form of employment due to their criminal background. Elixir has engaged with these people on a professional and personal level to help improve the confidence, skill-sets and lifestyles. Out of the 800 vulnerable adults we have engaged with, 576 were ex-offenders and 97% have not re-offended since employment within Elixir, with 100% stating that they feel “happier” with their lives.
