They’re called The Doonies, And their love for life is big. But sometimes they need help, And into their feelings, they must dig.” Get ready for an exciting new 10-book children's series featuring the lovable main characters Doonie Dawne and Doonie Bobrick. Dive into captivating storylines that explore themes of mental health, positivity, and doing the right thing! The idea for “The Doonies” came during leisurely Canadian autumn walks in a nearby forest in the fall of 2022. The idea of tiny, magical beings frolicking in the enchanting woods just popped into author Emma Miller's mind out of nowhere. The Doonies had arrived, demanding to be written, and in a single, feverish night, Emma outlined all ten books with interconnected storylines. And just like that, on the same evening she began writing Book One. “I feel privileged to share their tales for kids of every age to delight in with their loved ones. I’m glad they chose my mind to walk into!” – Emma Miller, Author of “The Doonies” Have a magical Doonie day! ✨
