Discovery's mission is “We open our minds and hearts so we can discover the knowledge and ideals to build a better world." Discovery was founded in 1990 and is a qualified tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code. Discovery is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools, the Florida Kindergarten Association, the American Montessori Society, and is an International Baccalaureate World School.
