Medicare rebates are available for psychological treatment by registered psychologists under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. Eligible individuals can receive up to 10 individual sessions per a calendar year. Recently, a new initiative has been released, which provides up to 40 sessions for individuals with diagnosed eating disorders (specific criteria apply).
