The Current Information

The Current is a nonprofit center for contemporary art in Stowe, Vermont, connecting people with artists and ideas through exhibitions, education, and public programs. Founded in 1981, The Current presents ambitious contemporary art in a rural setting, creating opportunities for artists to develop and share their work while inviting audiences of all ages to engage with the ideas shaping our world. Our programs include free exhibitions, artist talks and community events, outdoor sculpture, artist residencies, school partnerships, classes, camps, and hands-on learning experiences. We believe contemporary art can spark curiosity, deepen understanding, inspire dialogue, and strengthen communities.
