The mission of The Cottage is to raise awareness and facilitate the healing of individuals, families, and communities affected by sexual violence and child abuse. The Cottage is a 501c3 nonprofit providing free and confidential services to Athens-Clarke County. Staffed by professional social workers, The Cottage works with survivors and their families as they navigate the legal system and/or the after effects of the trauma associated with abuse. The Cottage works with all people and welcomes people of any gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion or immigration status to reach out for confidential services.
