The Collecthers Information

In late 2021, we founded a vibrant community called Her Creation Squad, comprising strong, confident, powerful, intelligent, and creative women. Throughout 2022, we organized over 10 Sustainable Creation classes, predominantly conducted online via ZOOM, with a few memorable in-person gatherings. Recently, as an extension of Her Creation Squad, we birthed "The Collecthers," a venture dedicated to fostering sustainable practices. In collaboration with Victoria University and Otaku Digital, we're actively engaged in the development of "SALVAGING," a Circular Economy App - set for launch Q4 2023! We challenge the conventional ease of acquiring new belongings and instead champion the conscious use of existing materials through upcycling. Given the surge in renovations, we guide our SQUAD in the art of sustainable creation. Rather than discarding cherished bricks from a dismantled wall or timber joists from flooring, we advocate reclaiming and repurposing them into functional pieces like cabinets. SALVAGING represents our initiative to elevate sustainable creation by enabling our community to share materials, fostering a sense of collective responsibility. We believe in promoting happiness and self-fulfillment through the act of creating sustainable items that bring joy. The satisfaction derived from crafting an item and witnessing it in your living space is a testament to triumph and strength. We firmly believe that if someone else can embark on this creative journey, so can you!
