The hotel is housed in a historic building dating back to the late 17th century, when the northern side of St. Stephen's Green was known as the "Beaux Walk," where some of Ireland's most esteemed families lived during Dublin's Georgian period. Upscale boutique shops and lively restaurants are found throughout this prestigious neighborhood. Trinity College, one of the city's top historic sights, is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Well-known galleries, museums, theaters, and concert halls are within minutes of The Cliff Townhouse. Each of the nine high-ceilinged and spacious guest rooms is elegantly decorated, some retaining their original fireplaces, and several overlooking St. Stephen's Green.
