The Boundless School is a registered Canadian charity and independent school that weaves together high school curriculum, outdoor adventure and counselling to help teens forge a new relationship with achievement and learning. Based on our 600-acre classroom in the Madawaska Valley of Eastern Ontario, we run 5-13 day adventures-for-high-school-credits in the spring and summer, and a boarding school in the fall and winter. The term "boarding school" kind of sucks. We prefer "Boundless Live-In School", or BLISS, which better describes the educational utopia we strive for. Even the most eye-rolling and diffident students cannot resist the allure of learning about World War 1 by actually building trenches; or studying Zombies for English class by building a self-contained community in the forest to fend off the apocalypse.
