City Year helps students and schools succeed, while preparing the next generation of leaders. City Year AmeriCorps members provide support to students, classrooms and the whole school. Schools that partner with City Year are up to two to three times more likely to improve in English and math assessments, and the more time students spend with AmeriCorps members, the more they improve on skills that help students thrive in school and contribute to their community. A proud member of the AmeriCorps national service network, City Year is supported by AmeriCorps, local school districts and private philanthropy. City Year partners with public schools in 29 communities across the U.S. and through international affiliates in the U.K. and South Africa.

Teach First is an education charity that trains brilliant teachers, equips school leaders and campaigns for educational justice. Since 2003, we've reached over 1.5 million pupils facing disadvantage. We are building a movement of Change Makers and Change Partners, making sure every child, no matter their background, gets the opportunities they deserve. Change is possible.

What We Do: Facing History & Ourselves uses lessons of history to challenge teachers and their students to stand up to racism, antisemitism, and other forms of bigotry and hate. Our classroom resources and professional development offerings examine racism, antisemitism, and prejudice at pivotal moments in history; we help students learn about the impact of choices made in the past, and connect them to the choices they will confront in their own lives. Facing our shared history and how it informs our attitudes and behaviors allows us to choose a world of equity and justice. Our Values: We create space for each other. We seek out and learn from diverse experiences and perspectives. We are curious. We ask big questions, create connections, and dig into the complexity of our actions and behaviors, past and present.
