The Atoll Society is a distributed network developing verification systems and governance protocols for a world where shared truth can no longer be assumed. Like coral reefs that become ecosystems that last even as volcanic islands collapse, we aim for decentralized structures that last as traditional institutions disappear. Our members—technologists, legal scholars, investors, system designers, write under their own names and also under constructed fictional pseudonyms to advance arguments on the nature of truth, social trust, artificial intelligence, and human law and politics. Yes, we mourn the collapse of consensus reality. But we have work to do.
