In 1986, Jim Groff and Dave Perolis came together to form The Argus Group. The Argus Group was one of the first firms to develop quality benefits programs for small businesses, franchises and trade associations. Jim and Dave pioneered the offering of discounted premiums to members of trade associations, often having to first convince the insurance companies of the value of their approach. Thanks to their innovative idea, many small firms were able to afford to offer benefits plans that were competitive with those traditionally found only in larger organizations. Today, The Argus Group remains dedicated to the success of small businesses. They are endorsed by more than 20 trade associations, regularly attending meetings and conventions.
