WHO WE ARE
The Seattle Metro Chamber is the largest and most diverse business association in the region representing 2,500 member companies and a workforce of about 750,000.
OUR VISION
We seek an economically vibrant and globally competitive region where businesses of all sizes flourish and prosperity is shared.
OUR MISSION
The Chamber is a business advocacy organization that helps our members thrive in an equitable and inclusive regional economy.
WHAT WE DO
At the Chamber, we believe that the business community thrives when the whole community is healthy. And we believe our region is uniquely positioned to compete in the global marketplace because we embrace three key attributes: we create jobs, we are responsible stewards of the environment, and we ensure access and opportunity for all.
We play many roles as a result. The Chamber is:
1. a policy advocate and the only Chamber in the area that represents business at the city, regional, state and federal levels;
2. a convener and coalition-builder around issues we all care about, from transportation to education to the environment;
3. a one-stop shop for all of the tools businesses need to grow, from high-quality networking to employee benefits;
4. and a community partner and champion for projects, initiatives and people who make our region globally competitive as well as a great place to live, work and raise a family.
For over 45 years, Arts Horizons has been recognized as a leader in performing and visual arts education in New York & New Jersey. We are a nonprofit and you keep the momentum going by donating to our Year Campaign!
Our mission is to enhance the lives of people of all ages and abilities by creating equitable opportunities to engage in the music, dance, theater, & visual arts. Arts Horizons was founded in 1978 by John Devol, trumpet player, music educator and parent. John played in the orchestra of A Chorus Line for the entire 15-year run of the show and, as he sat in the pit night after night, he realized the importance of bringing quality music to children. He got together with fellow Broadway musicians and formed Festival Brass, a lively, interactive music assembly program that taught students about the brass family of instruments. In 1995 Festival of Music became Arts Horizons, a full-service arts- in-education organization. We bring our work into communities, including schools, community centers, and assisted living facilities.
The Suffolk County Bar Association is one of the largest voluntary bar associations in the State. We are a private organization representing lawyers of Suffolk County.
For over a century, our organization and the legal profession it represents has assisted the community through charitable services, pro bono representation, scholarship programs and legal education.
Our organization recognizes its mission:
"The purposes and objects for which the Association is established shall be cultivating the science of jurisprudence, promoting reforms in the law, facilitating the administration of justice, elevating the standard of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession and cherishing the spirit of brotherhood among the members thereof."
