TFG Marketing Information

TFG Marketing Communications is the offspring of The Focus Group, a company founded by Pat Flaherty in 1983. In '92, Pat asked me to join The Focus Group to create and head a New Business Development effort. At the time, I knew nothing about such a thing but was convinced with a budget and creative freedom. Here, I learned the power of creating personalized and targeted dimensional direct mailers coupled with personal and consistent follow-up. In fact, within two years of starting the program, my business development role was eclipsed by project management duties for the dozen new accounts added to our client roster. In this role I learned the importance of trust, integrity and of doing honest work for a fair price; of standing behind our work and keeping promises, of being accessible, accountable and dependable. Over the years we've seen many changes, including the company name. Around year 20, The Focus Group became TFG Marketing Communications. Our clients were already calling us that, and as a client- centric organization, it was clear we needed to change.
