Our names are Bohdan Velhan and Roman Levko. We are freelance translators, who translate texts from such technical fields as construction, mining engineering, energy engineering, woodworking industry, metallurgy, car industry, mechanical engineering, instrument engineering, paper and packaging industries. We translate user manuals, safety instructions, specifications and other technical documentation, as well as brochures, catalogues, labels, software for appliances and big installations and websites that have mostly technical issues. Translating We translate into our native languages: Russian and Ukrainian. By translating we try to reach a maximal fidelity and transparency of translated text. Thuswise we guarantee the highest quality of the target text. Each translated text is checked for completeness, spelling, formatting and terminology consistency. Proofreading We check the accuracy of translation and correct semantic and logical, spelling and punctuation errors, misprints, stylistic and literary imperfections, defects relating to technical appearance of the text. Editing We correct stylistic errors in the text: stylistic and literary imperfections, as well as wrong word forms, inappropriate stylistic variants that are inconsistent with general style of text. In addition, editing includes proofreading. Desktop-Publishing (DTP) Linguistic text handling is only one part of complex translation process. Usually, this stage follows formatting, the main task of which is to agree the layout of source and target text. In the target text, we integrate the text into the pictures, generate and check tables of contents. We offer complex DTP and formatting services that are supported by modern DTP and graphics programs.
