Dr. Schwertner's solid conservative platform focuses on lowering taxes, protecting the rights of property owners, fighting for illegal immigration reform and opposing Obama- Care. He has also attracted the support and positive ratings of many well-respected organizations such as: Texas Municipal Police Association National Rifle Association "A" Rated Texas Medical Association Texas Hospital Association Texas Pharmacy Association (partial listing) Dr. Schwertner, his wife Belinda and their three sons are residents of Georgetown and active members of St. Helen's Catholic Church. Dr. Schwertner is also a member of the Williamson County Republican Party, Texas Right to Life, the National Rifle Association and the Texas State Rifle Association. His in-laws live in Sun City and his father-in-law is a retired Army sergeant major.
