Tespire Information

Tespire is an African Ed-Tech company focused on developing digital solutions targeted towards making the lives of educators, school owners, and administrators easier. Started formally as JD lab in 2016, where we designed a vast range of innovative products aimed at solving core African problems using emerging technologies. In 2018, we signed a partnership with System Specs LTD (Remita) to improve simplified payments. Not long after this, we launched JSP in 2019 and processed over N2 billion Naira. This led to a strategic decision to transition into a startup, which led to the birth of Tespire. Tespire, propelled by a passion for applying technology to solve real-world problems, partnered with MTN Nigeria and Zinox in 2023, processed $1M through Tespire wallet, marking our presence in Nigeria. Shortly after, we secured pre-seed funding in 2024 and launched Tespire Public, a dedicated platform built for local and national education authorities to efficiently manage basic schools across regions. Recently, we secured another funding with Alternative Bank to advance Tespire's research project – ASIBITI. Tespire has now reached over 7,000 schools, improved learning access and outcomes for more than 40,000 students, and helped generate over $12 million in revenue for partner schools. Our goal is to make it easier for schools to operate efficiently and sustainably as we continue to scale across underserved regions in Africa.
