Highly accomplished, hands-on executive with over 25 years of experience providing strategic and operational leadership. Recently completed a 4,600 solo bicycle ride across the USA over 218 days to see over 300 friends & family – project called RickToPortland. Adept at directing large-scale strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams and working with C-level executives, I help organizations in the areas of partnership development, sales and marketing and program management. I creatively help teams to solve difficult problems. At North Highland, I spearheaded the launch of a partner program for North Highland, drove over $24 million in revenue across 150+ projects for Fortune 500 clients and increased number of potential complementary partners from 3 to over 350. I managed strategy consulting projects from framework development through delivery. I worked with multi-discipline client teams at Coca-Cola, Home Depot, AT&T, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Northrop Grumman, Randstad, Procter & Gamble and IBM. I also led rebranding of North Highland in a de-facto CMO role, including a new brand identity, logo, marketing materials and key messages for all employees. Selected by the President to manage all internal communications to support the effort. Facilitated strategic planning sessions at the Board level for the American Cancer Society, Atlanta Ballet, Georgia Conservancy, Metro Atlanta Arts & Culture Coalition, the Midtown Arts Festival, Theatrical Outfit & Moving In The Spirit. Restructured strategic planning processes for all of North Highland’s major clients that accounted for 80% of the revenue & identified unique ways to find experts across the firm’s 24 offices to include them in the strategic planning sessions.
