Each year, we hold Chauvin Fest, a weekend celebration of local cuisine, music, and togetherness. We clean up the bayou in advance of the annual Blessing of the Fleet. We have a pirogue race. We hold French lessons. We are raising funds to build a cultural center at the historic Boudreaux Canal Store. We raise funds to distribute to victims of disaster. We do these things to ensure that the culture and creativity that thrives in Chauvin persists into the future. Mission To ensure the survival of Chauvin’s living heritage, and to support her arts, cuisine, and culture, through promotion, education, and civic activities.
