Terraneo Merchants was established in 2011 with a plan to import exciting wines from unfamiliar places. We began with a focus on Central and Eastern European indigenous grape varietals which were not available in the market. A few years later we expanded our focus to the whole Mediterranean region and began traveling to France, Spain, Portugal and Italy in search of excellent wines at a fair price. We like wines which show a sense of place, and also offer a great value. In Illinois we also distribute our wines to restaurants and fine retailers. Our team is composed of great people with vast experience in food and wine import and distribution. We are a fast growing importer and Illinois distributor, with the distribution experience, logistics and abilities of a much larger organization. Today we offer 250+ wines and spirits from countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina. We offer distinct and exciting wines from smaller producers and beautiful places with a long history of winemaking, and many indigenous grape varietals. All our wine is stored in a temperature controlled warehouse located just north of Chicago city limits in Lincolnwood, Illinois. Deliveries are done within 3 business days of receiving order.
