Terp Thon Information

Terp Thon is a student-run organization at the University of Maryland that supports patients and families fighting pediatric illness in our local community. As leaders of a Dance Marathon program within Children's Miracle Network, we unite our campus and local community to inspire hope and healing in the children and families at Children’s National, our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. While raising vital funds and awareness for the hospital, Terp Thon fosters innovation, determination, and creativity in today’s leaders. We celebrate our year-round efforts with a 10-hour Dance Marathon each spring, bringing joy to the families who are the root of our cause. Terp Thon is a part of the Dance Marathon movement that is taking over nationwide. More than 300 schools across the country are joining together, all raising money for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, as a part of the Dance Marathon family. Over the past 16 years, Terp Thon has raised raised over $7.1 Million to support patients and families fighting pediatric illness in our local community.
