Teraphysics Corp. is an advanced technology company pioneering next-generation millimeter-wave and terahertz power amplification solutions for wireless back-haul, satellite, aerospace, EW, imaging/sensing and defense communications infrastructure. Founded in 2006, Teraphysics has developed and patented a breakthrough miniaturized millimeter-wave Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) amplifier platform designed to enable significantly faster, higher-capacity data transfer across emerging communications architectures operating in the E-band (71–86 GHz) and higher frequency spectrums. The Company’s proprietary high-power, high-efficiency mm-wave TWT technology is engineered to support military C5ISR systems, electronic warfare platforms, advanced radar arrays, terrestrial wireless backhaul, satellite communications, and future Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellations. Teraphysics’ miniature helical TWT platform is designed to serve as a critical power stack enabling the industry’s migration to higher frequency communications systems and next-generation RF architectures where traditional solid-state amplifiers face growing power, efficiency, and bandwidth limitations. Teraphysics devices are approximately the size of a business card, weigh less than one pound, and are designed to deliver tens to hundreds of watts of linear power at millimeter-wave frequencies. Developed by a team of former NASA engineers and physicists from NASA Lewis Research Center (now NASA Glenn), Teraphysics believes the future of advanced communications infrastructure will increasingly rely on hybrid RF architectures combining solid-state technologies with next-generation vacuum electronic devices capable of delivering the power and efficiency required for the world’s next generation of terrestrial, aerospace, and space-based communications systems.
