Since 2003, TERA is a leading deep technology private firm specializing in Terahertz (THz) technology. What started as a single patent from the Weizmann Institute, has evolved into nearly two decades of focused research, whereby TERA has amassed a portfolio of 120 patent applications, including 86 granted patents. We leverage Terahertz waves to develop practical solutions that address unmet needs across various industries. Terahertz waves reside in a less-explored corner of the electromagnetic spectrum, and TERA stands at the forefront, harnessing their potential to create practical solutions. Unlike familiar technologies such as X-rays, infrared (IR), or MRI, Terahertz waves offer distinct advantages due to their specific wavelength. The characteristics of Thz allow for swift data acquisition in real time while only requiring minimal material for detection and sensing. These distinctive qualities enable our system to achieve high throughput, while maintaining efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, Terahertz waves are human-safe and non-ionizing, in stark contrast to UV and X-rays.
