In 2007 the Old Bicycle Shop opened its doors on eBay selling mainly faceted and vintage beads. Based in Surrey, we are a mail order company which specialises in hard to find vintage beads, Claspgarten clasps, Laser Etched beads, Golem Studio beads, Miyuki seed beads, Czech pressed and faceted beads. The new and old beads complement each other beautifully. So you may be wondering why we are call the Old Bicycle Shop? The building we use has had many uses from a landlord's house, a petrol garage to a craft shop but it was best known for when bicycles used to be made here in the 1900s. Unfortunately at the moment the shop is mail order so it is not possible to physically visit us. And about me? I have been beading since 2005 and had made one necklace before signing up for a City and Guilds course at Missenden Abbey. I have been hooked on beading ever since, having finished the C&G Level 1 and Level 2 courses. The main thing I learnt from the course is that you can never have too many beads ! We try to keep costs to a minimum. First class postage to a UK address is just 1.50, no matter how much you spend. Also, if you place a website order before 11:00 Monday to Friday, we aim to post it the same day.
