Tempest Tool & Machine, Inc. was founded in May of 1979, with four people, we have continued a slow and progressive growth pattern which allowed us to increase our capabilities both in manufacturing expertise as well as volume of business, while still maintaining a solvent and positive financial portfolio. Today we feel confident in our abilities to serve modern industrial requirements in machining, tooling, gaging, data collection, production, design and automation. As per most Tool Room type machine shops, we maintain a sufficient mix of general purpose machining equipment. Nearly all manually operated equipment utilizes Electronic Digital Readout display to assist in positioning accuracies and increase productivity through faster and more efficient set ups and change overs. Where applicable, carbide inserted tooling is used for a more consistent and accurate operation. All design is done using Computervision's Personal Designer/Personal Machinist software. This software gives us the following capabilities: Full 3D wireframe & surface design Full 3D CNC machining IGES & DXF translation of nearly all CAD formats Communication with customers via eMail or direct line connection Design to machine connection for Paperless prototyping and special CNC/CAM machining We have just purchased a full blown 3D SOLID MODELING software package. This upgrade will give us better turn around on the projects we design for you.
