Tekena Information

Tekena designs, prefabricates and supplies the zonal network cabling foundation for connected commercial buildings, supporting Wi-Fi, AV, sound masking, IoT and building systems. Tekena is more than a different way of installing cabling. Built on our Adaptive Infrastructure Model™ (AIM™): install once, adapt, redeploy and reuse. Tekena combines network design, prefabrication, installation planning and lifecycle adaptability into one integrated approach. It supports new construction and tenant improvement or fit-out projects, with a network designed to adapt throughout the life of the building. The TekNET® solution includes our prefabricated zonal network cabling system and TekSMART™ our design and planning tool. The platform integrates design, documentation and a construction-ready drawing package, supporting the factory-built, fully tested product with greater installation efficiency, schedule certainty, quality and cost control. Together, they bring predictability to construction and a network that responds to change. Moves, adds and changes are made locally at the zone, and components can be recovered, retested and redeployed as workspace and technology needs evolve. Our 25-year warranty continues through recovery, retest and redeployment. Our infrastructure has stayed in service through successive tenants, fit-outs and technology changes, and has been recovered and reused rather than replaced. That experience shapes how we design for long-term value, reduced disruption, reuse and sustainability. Headquartered in Calgary, with a presence in Ontario and delivering across Canada, Tekena's team includes BICSI RCDD/NTS-certified, WiredScore and SmartScore-accredited professionals.
