TeesDance is the Tees Valley's flagship community dance charity - delivering free, inclusive dance programmes that improve wellbeing, build belonging and create opportunity. We go to the communities that need us most. Into village halls in East Cleveland, family hubs in Middlesbrough, community centres across South Tees - and we're growing. Our programmes reach people of all ages and abilities, from babies and families to young people and older adults. What we deliver: MoveTogether - free family dance sessions MoveForYou - gentle movement for adults (suitable during pregnancy) MoveAlways - dance and wellbeing for over 50s MoveBaby - dance for babies and their grown-ups MoveRise - creative dance for young people Youth Dance Company - for young dancers aged 11-19 ESPA - inclusive dance for adults with autism Training and skills sessions for dance practitioners in the Tees Valley. Every session is free. Every session is led by professional dance artists. No experience needed - ever. Founded by Amy Swalwell, we've reached over 4,500 people in Middlesbrough alone since Sept 2021. We work across all five Tees Valley boroughs - Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, Redcar & Cleveland and Darlington - building dance hubs that are locally rooted and regionally connected.
