TEDxUKM Information

OUR STORY TEDxUKM was first organized in 2015 and it makes UKM the first public university in Malaysia to organize a TEDx Talk. After a 5 year hiatus, TEDx is making a comeback to UKM campus. TEDxUKM started out as just a mere conversation between 4 friends who want to encourage more people to step out of their comfort zone. This idea eventually manifested into TEDxUKM Inspiring Futures 2021 which aims to remind people about life outside the humdrum 9-5 job. There is so much life outside of ours and TEDxUKM wants to act as a platform to broadcast these ideas to a global audience. To encourage, inspire and propel people to pursue their dreams and passions. TEDxUKM wants to spread innovative and inspiring local ideas to a wider audience, thereby making an impact on people’s lives. In addition to that, TEDxUKM wishes to empower Bahasa Melayu as our national language and therefore has fashioned itself as the first TEDxUKM to have speakers speaking in Bahasa Melayu.
