TEDxBreda Information

We stand for sharing and spreading revolutionary ideas. TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to changes attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. TED is home to a constantly growing set of novel and powerful ideas. A front-row seat to see what's shaping up in technology, business, science, design and the arts. What began as a small conference in 1984 and has grown into a global media platform with multiple channels and initiatives. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations). TEDxBreda will be organized for the fifth time, by an enthusiastic team of volunteers.
