Established in 1989, Tianjin TEDA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., is a modern manufacturer of traditional Chinese medicines. Its main products are Chinese patent drugs, extractives of plants and natural health-keeping products that are prepared in various forms including granule, tablet, pill, capsule and oral liquid. 60% of the products are exported to countries and regions such as Japan, Europe, Singapore and Hongkong. The company's main product is the Chinese traditional medicine prepared in the form of granule---the advanced granular medicine made up of extractives of drugs and proper auxiliary material or tiny grains of drugs. Originating from Japan, the dosage form of granule is convenient to be taken, and is applicable for many types of drugs, and is a concentrated dosage form of Chinese traditional medicine. In TEDA Pharm., the manufacturing specification of granular dosage uses the unique technology of dynamic digestion with purified water for extracting, low temperature vacuum concentrating and spray drying, dry-type granulation and automatic packaging. In this way,the effective contents in the medicine are preserved and defects of the traditional preparation technology are avoided, such as the loss of effective contents , and escape of volatile effective contents caused by long time heating under high temperature. In TEDA Pharm., the production technology for granular dosage of Chinese patent medicine is appraised as Traditional Chinese Medical & Pharmaceutical Scientific & Technological Achievements Popularization Project in 2003 by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, PRC.
