The WBDC's Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification Program covers a nine state Midwestern region. In 2003, the WBDC established a satellite office in Minneapolis (WBDC-MN) to better serve the WBEs in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Western Wisconsin. The Enterprise Center in Johnson County(ECJC) is a non-profit organization that connects entrepreneurs with the resources they need to grow and scale.
ECJC is helping innovate the region's companies of the future by cultivating the next generation of entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures.
We select local entrepreneurs in their early stages of development and provide them with support, financial education, mentoring, and early-stage capital to help them accelerate growth and job creation.
We deliver vital early-stage investment capital to the Kansas City region with three early-stage equity funds: Fountain Innovation Fund (seed-stage), as well as Women's Capital Connection and Mid-America Angels (angel-stage).
