Key Achievements •Drastically cut cost of new development by re-configuring newly acquired Remedy Helpdesk system to function in the Helpdesk environment alerting appropriate personnel of network and/or system anomalies. Helpdesk expenses were cut due to re-use of Helpdesk template for Newsouth Communications. •Developed installed and maintained a Linux based system which automatically queried all DACS (Tellabs 6400, 5500, and 5320. Alcatel 1631 and 1630), and produced reports that are viewed on a company intranet. This eliminated the 3+ hours of time that each switch engineer had to spend querying and compiling data for the 50+ DACS devices in the USLEC footprint. Efficiently provided accurate data to engineers to aid in switch provisioning and load balancing thereby reducing overall man-hours needed to perform process.
