We specialize in private placement and mergers and acquisitions financial advisory work for technology companies with emphases on the software and communications sectors. We can also assist companies who are contemplating a management and leveraged buyout, a private equity investment and seeking other sources of capital. As necessary, we can provide valuations and fairness opinions. We have built an impressive record of assisting technology companies in evaluating strategic alternatives and successfully marketing, structuring, negotiating and closing transactions. We have led and completed more than 40 transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $2 billion in the software and communications sectors. We have significant software and communications industry expertise both from having worked for operational technology firms such as IBM, Motorola and Corning and from our investment banking, corporate business development and venture capital experiences. We have established a broad and extensive network of contacts in and among technology companies, venture capitalists, private equity firms, investment banks and related service providers such as accounting and law firms. On M&A transactions, we have represented sellers for the most part, but have also represented buyers such as Aspen Technology and JDA Software.
