Teater Manu is Norway’s professional sign language thatre and a national touring theatre. The Theatre has its core in the deaf culture and the Norwegian sign language community. It is a part of Norway’s culture inheritance. The theatre’s public recognition is symbylised by its fixed position on the Norwegian state budget. Teater Manu has its base in Oslo. Since 1 August 2000, Mira Zuckermann Zuckermann has been the theatre’s leader and artistic director.
