Parkway Ford was established by Ian Cowles in 1973. Located beside the Waterloo Motor Inn on what was then the edge of the city Parkway grew with the community. Several additions came with the growth the dealership experienced through 1980's. A regional leader in wholesale parts sales, Parkway boasted a fleet of delivery vehicles that serviced all of central Ontario and supported an expanding service and collision repair business along with vehicle sales that ranged from small cars to highway tractors. In December of 1995, the community and the Parkway family were saddened with the sudden passing of Mr. Cowles. Then General Manager, Ken Bast was able to partner with Eastway Ford (St. Thomas) dealer, Mike Stollery and purchase Parkway from the Cowles family. These two continued the Parkway tradition of commitment to customer and employee satisfaction. In 1999 Stollery and Bast were able to purchase the former Stevens Lincoln Mercury dealership on Victoria Street in Kitchener. This location was operated until 2002 when the Lincoln brand and most importantly most of the remaining Stevens staff were transferred to Parkway Ford Lincoln. With Mike Stollery's acquisition of Barrie Ford and eventual move there, Dan Deboer was added to the partnership in 2002 as Managing Partner. Dan had been the General manager for several years previous after arriving as Service Manager in 1995. Since 2002 Parkway has become the number one volume Ford and Lincoln dealer in the region as well a multi year Ford of Canada President's Award winner for customer satisfaction. Now with over 70 employees, Parkway strives to offer the best sales and service experience to our valued customers.
