Team Daniel, LLC Information

The mission of Team Daniel, LLC is to provide the best quality of life for people with developmental disabilities in communities throughout North Carolina. We provide quality services and supports to recipients of the new CAP I/DD waivers through Fiscal Intermediary and Employer Record services. Through these services, families select their own staff, decide wages for staff, and participate in a co-employer relationship. This process assists in maintaining quality staff and is a contributing factor to ensure quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. John and Denise Mercado are the co-owners of Team Daniel, LLC. They established Team Daniel in honor of their son Danny. Danny Mercado was an Army brat born on March 31, 1982 at Ft. Lewis, Washington. He was a 24-year survivor of Hemophilus Influenza Meningitis. He died on February 7, 2007. Danny was an inspiration to all those who came in contact with him - including his parents. John and Denise share his story with other families and incorporate the principles of self-determination into the Team Daniel business model.
