Team 3D Information

Team 3D is a professional gaming team which competes internationally against the world's best teams. Formed in 2002 around some of North America's most talented players, 3D has a reputation as one of the word's most respected gaming teams amongst the gaming community and media alike. Team 3D is comprised of 3 different gaming divisions. The Counter-Strike squad is made up of six players but is played five versus five. Team members work together to devise and execute advanced strategies in a classic objective based offense versus defense model. In a match each team plays 15 rounds as offense and 15 rounds as defense. The first team to win 16 rounds wins the match. The Team 3D Halo 2 consists of 4 players. Halo 2 is played four versus four and a typical game is played over a series of different maps and game types. Teams will compete against one another in a best of 5 or 7 series in which they play different maps with different objectives to determine who the best team really is. Game types can range from everything from Team Slayer, which is the death match format in Halo 2 all the way to Oddball, Halo 2's own unique version of keep away. Two independent duelers make up Team 3D's Painkiller team. Painkiller is played one versus one and a typical Painkiller match is played over a best of 3 series in which each competitor chooses his or her own map to play with a tie breaker map chosen randomly. A game lasts for 15 minutes and the player with the most frags when time expires is the winner for that map. In 2005, 3D will travel the globe to compete for more than $2,000,000 in cash prizes in countries such as Turkey, Spain, Brazil, and China. Additionally, the team competes weekly in organized online leagues structured for both practice and seeding purposes. Noted as one of the world's top teams year after year, 3D has among the world's best records as a professional organization, including world championships at both the CPL and World Cyber Games.
