RDA: Enriching Lives Through Horses Since 1969 At Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), we believe in the transformative power of horses to change lives – and we want you to be part of it. Each year, we help over 39,000 children and adults across the UK, through activities like riding, carriage driving, and equine-assisted programmes like Quiet Corners and Tea with a Pony. Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the UK are disabled? Despite the known benefits of physical activity, many disabled people still face significant barriers to being active in their communities. That’s where you come in. As pioneers in the therapeutic use of horses, we are leading the way in improving health, wellbeing, and confidence for disabled people. Why Should You Get Involved? Equest's mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs by partnering with horses to bring hope and healing through equine assisted activities and therapies. Equest is a 501 (c) (3) public charity, IRS Tax ID 75-1823701. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Our organization is not a United Way Agency. We are dependent upon charitable gifts and grants to support our programs.

Healing Hooves provides natural vegetation management services using hungry goats to clear weeds, brush, blackberries, etc. with professional targeted grazing techniques. Craig Madsen has been actively working as a “goat renter guy” since 2002, taking our herd of hungry ruminants across the state of Washington and occasionally over the borders into Idaho and Oregon. When you rent our goats, you get Craig’s expertise in range management and his handiness with a machete as part of the bargain. Craig can also coach you on managing your own small acreage with your own small herd. The keys are: 1. Knowing what you want the land to look like. Open pasture? Shaded forest fire break? Planted back to native vegetation? Just keep those darn blackberries from taking over the hillside? 2. Planning your grazing to put the right animals at the right density at the right time for the right length of time on each piece of land in order to create tour desired future landscape. Craig is trained as an educator in Allan Savory's Holistic Management system, and is available for workshops and presentations.
