For intermediaries only. Teachers Building Society was founded in 1966 to help teachers on to the property ladder at a time when many found it hard to get a mortgage. We still specialise in lending to teachers, but we’ve now widened our mortgage service to those working across a variety of professions. Just as we did in the 60s, we take an individual view of borrowers, with experienced underwriters reviewing each application on a case by basis.
