A l'origine du Palais des Thés, une cinquantaine d'amateurs de thé décide de créer leur propre entreprise. Afin de garantir la fraîcheur et la qualité de leurs thés, ils prennent le parti de s'approvisionner directement sur les lieux de culture. Ils se rendront donc régulièrement dans les plantations, ce qui leur permettra de surcroît de connaître et de contrôler les conditions de travail des cueilleurs, les méthodes agricoles employées, le respect des normes d'hygiène, de sécurité... Ce sera aussi pour eux l'occasion de rencontrer les hommes et les femmes qui vivent du thé et de découvrir la richesse des cultures qu'inspire cette boisson. Cet esprit, exigeant et humaniste, anime toujours notre équipe. Tout au long de l'année, nous parcourons le monde à la recherche des meilleurs crus, à la découverte de nouveaux thés aux saveurs rares et délicieuses.

Founded in 1997, Teavana offers new tea enthusiasts and tea connoisseurs alike it’s “Heaven of Tea” retail experience where passionate and knowledgeable “Teaologists” engage and educate them about the ritual and enjoyment of tea. The Teavana dream began with an idea that people would enjoy fresh, high-quality tea in a place that was part Tea Bar, part Tea Emporium. We wanted to introduce people to the aromas, textures, and beneficial qualities of loose leaf teas while enlightening them with the history and variety of teas available. And this is how Teavana was born. As our name implies, Teavana's goal is to be a heaven of tea and to offer our customers the tea lifestyle and wonderful tastes of tea. This unique name is meant to describe the experience each customer has with our tea and our staff. After considerable research, only those teas with rich and unique flavors are selected for Teavana. We opened our first tea emporium in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then we have opened over 300 Teavana locations throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. Since its acquisition in 2012, the Teavana team has been on a mission to do for tea what Starbucks has done for coffee. Our goal is to create a super-premium everyday tea ritual in the Americas and beyond, which will come to life in many channels, forms and experiences.
