We roast, winnow, grind, temper, and mold our chocolate by hand, using organic, sustainable ingredients. Our pioneering Direct Trade Certified Cacao sourcing program guarantees direct relationships with growers, fair wages and work practices on the farm, and the highest quality ingredients. Our chocolate making process is unique. Taza Chocolate is stone ground and minimally processed. We use authentic Oaxacan stone mills instead of steel refiners to grind our cacao. The imperfect surface of a granite millstone leaves unrefined bits of cacao and raw sugar in the finished chocolate. These give our bars explosive flavor and a distinctive rustic texture. All of our products are certified USDA Organic, OU Kosher Pareve, gluten free, dairy free, soy free and vegan.
