TAX SERVICE OF REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA Information

The tax system (State Tax Inspectorate adjunct to the Ministers Council) of the Republic of Armenia was established on October 2, 1991 by the Decree No 583 of Ministers Council of the Republic of Armenia. In 1999 it merged with the Customs Service, forming State Revenue Ministry of the Republic of Armenia. In 2001 the Customs Service was separated from the State Revenue Ministry, and in 2002, the Ministry of State Revenue was reformed to the State Tax Service adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia. On August 20, 2008 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia the State Tax Service merged with the State Revenue Committee adjunct to the RA Government –reforming into the State Revenue Committee adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The Tax System is the unitary state governmental republican body, which controls the implementation of the tax and social security payments legislation, secures budget incomes, promotes the state economic security. The attitude of the Tax employees and applied administration are observed as the government policy. Tax revenues are and during the forthcoming years will be the dominant part of the revenues of the Republic of Armenia. At this developing period the level of tax revenues is emphasized as much as the insurance of the consecutive implementation of updated, objective administration.
