Tateswim is a family business managed by the Tate Family. Bev Tate established the business in 1991, operating from a private school in Burwood. Bev's two son's, Greg and Mark, commenced working in the family business a few years later. Tateswim expanded its program to operate at the Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre when it opened in late 2001. Bev, Greg and Mark continue to play a hands-on role in the business and are supported by Mark's wife, Emily, who is the business manager. In addition to the directors, Tateswim currently has a team of 10 coaches.
