Tashunka Information

The mobile assessement service is a new program that was in development in 2015, and offered to the public starting in 2016. This new service was started after years or helping horse owners undo the damage of poor fitting equipment, and working with individuals to try and find a balanced seat. Seeing an obvious need for a better way to assess how we are affecting our horses, R-A set about finding a solution. Tashunka is a boarding and training program that was created by R-A Mazzola in 2004 and continues out of his farm in Redmond, Washington. R-A has been working with horses since 1984 and has worked in various parts of the horse industry. Growing up he participated in Veterinary Science and Horse 4H, Open Horse Shows, and trail riding. He also worked part time for a veterinarian and a well known reigning and performance horse trainer. In college he spent a short time exploring rodeo events and managed a western clothing and tack store for 5 years. Following college he spent 3 years as an Outfitter and Guide leading horse trips in the North Cascades. In the off season R-A started teaching horsemanship lessons and training, which was the start of what's now Tashunka. Currently, R-A owns and runs Tashunka which offers boarding, lessons, leasing, training, and trips. The barn is a family friendly, multi discplince program, that is open to all ages, breeds, and experience levels. Personally R-A owns a variety of different horses including an Arabian, Mustang, Paint, Pinto, POA, Quarter Horse, and even a miniature donkey. Contact Us
