Tap Root Academy Information

Tap Root Academy (TRA) is an acting and filmmaking academy for Indigenous youth, founded by Tantoo Cardinal. It provides opportunity for students to discover the gems in Indigenous inheritance and to explore artistry in acting and filmmaking. These experiences are intended to fill the soul, to strengthen community, and to expose students to hands-on filmmaking. Tap Root is currently based in Kikino Métis Settlement, Alberta with a goal to expand across the country.
