To address the specific needs of communities, each YMCA is an independent organization, autonomous and separate from YMCA of the USA. They are required by the national constitution to pay annual dues, to refrain from discrimination and to support the YMCA mission. Since its founding in 1877, The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit youth development organization, has provided free life-changing summer experiences in the outdoors to more than 1.8 million children from New York City’s underserved communities. Camp Laurel is one of New England’s premier coed resident camps, featuring one 6.5-week session.
