But languages are not just the “words”, it’s a “group of words” called sentences or phrases. When you find a new word, always write down the phrase it is in. When you review, always review the entire phrase, not just the single word. Key 2: Grammar kills your spoken English. Grammar rules teach you to think about English, you want to speak automatically without thinking. You must learn English without studying grammar rules. Learn phrases, grammar will come automatically. Key 3: Focus on listening. Most of the time you learn English with your eyes. You read textbooks. You study grammar rules. That’s no good. You must learn English with your ears, not your eyes. Your speaking improves quickly when you start focusing on listening. Spend most of your study time listening real English.
