TaleWorlds Entertainment is an independent video game development studio located in Ankara, Turkey. Founded in 2005 by Armağan Yavuz after starting work in game development as a hobby, TaleWorlds has expanded its team to over 130 employees. Known for its leading Mount & Blade game franchise, TaleWorlds is one of the most successful indie developers worldwide. Around 98% of the company's sales are from outside of Turkey, demonstrating the global success of the Mount & Blade series. 2008 saw the final release of Mount & Blade, the first game in the series, with the standalone expansion Mount & Blade: Warband going to market in 2010. On 25th October of 2022, the company released their much anticipated "Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord" which has been received very positively by players and critics.
